The Wild in Me

The wild has claimed me.
It has turned my innocence into my own enemy.
In urgent need of therapy.

Don’t try to save me…

I’m unresponsive to pain.
No more crying in the rain.
Silence has been urging me to gain.
Howling at the night in vain.

My veins are compromised, my heart carrying a stain.

Don’t mistake this change for illusion.
If I ever believe in anything again, it’s dillusion.
I’m riddled with nothing but confusion.
You’ll try to solve me but won’t ever draw a conclusion.
