The Leftovers

I wish she felt she should always be first place.
Second to none in any race.
But she didn’t, she always felt inadequate.
It ruptured any type of faith.

Always felt like she couldn’t do better.
That always leads her to settle for the leftover.
Trading her soul for anything used up and old.
She deserved much more.

Even with a mirror she couldn’t see her true worth.
Everyone in her life fed her mind dirt.
Even though she’s a unique pearl.
She let herself be controlled by the world.

Make a plate with stake and fed it to everyone else.
She would constantly take the leftovers for herself.
