The Day After your Disaster

I managed to pull myself from under you.
Even when I was buried in rubble.

This was the day after the disaster.
After you caused every inch of my body to vibrate during your earthquake.
I couldn’t even tell where to start a rescue mission.

Everything was in dismay.
I couldn’t display my feelings.

There is so much I wanted to say, but it was all buried from all the havoc you caused.

The day after you turned my world upside down you had the nerve to try a second round.
And I refuse to get caught again.
I’ll be a fool not to prepare for your aftermath.

I learned just how important I am the day after.
